Getting Off – and Finding Redemption: the Don Tait Story

Last Saturday afternoon, journalism instructor and local author Veronique Mandal recounted how, for the better part of two decades and over two continents, she pursued the story of former Windsorite, Don Tait. The son of an alcoholic father, Tait at different periods in his life has been a hard-working criminal lawyer, an addict, a fugitive, and a survivor of serious health problems.  It is only in the last few years that Tait has made peace with himself and now provides inspiration to others as a counselor at a rehab clinic.

Copies of GETTING OFF: A CRIMINAL LAWYER’S ROAD TO REDEMPTION by Veronique Mandal can be borrowed from the Windsor Public Library, or, if you wish to purchase your own, copies are for sale at most Windsor bookstores.

I think it’s wonderful for a journalist such as the author Veronique for writing what she wants to write about. That is what we need to know as readers is the truth about individuals that perceive themselves in a different way. Thank God for journalists they will give you the truth always.
