The Windsor Public Library (WPL) Book Buddy program is a volunteer-based program designed to assist and encourage children (ages 6 to 11) who are experiencing reading difficulties. The goal of our program is to motivate children to become independent readers and provide them with a positive reading experience. The Book Buddy program is a fun and engaging way for young children to learn to read!
We are pleased to announce that our program is currently operating both online and in person and we are accepting applications from children to participate. Here’s how you can join!
Parents and Children: If your child would benefit from one-on-one help with their reading and they are between the ages of 6 to 11, it’s easy to get involved! Children are matched with an adult volunteer who will assist in helping to develop reading and comprehension. Matches meet for one hour each week, either in one of our library branches, or online via Zoom. Click here to access our Parent/Child Application form.
