Windsor Public Library has created a “community branch” for the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County Inc. The books and audio-visual resources of the Hospice library are being catalogued in the WPL Integrated Library System. Residents of the community may now locate these resources by searching in the Windsor Public Library catalogue.

The Library Resource area is open to the public during regular business hours Monday – Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. A librarian is on duty on Tuesdays.
Note: Items put on Hold may only be picked up at the Hospice location. Free pamphlets and information brochures may be mailed on request.
Hospice of Windsor and Essex County Inc.
The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County Inc. is a community based charitable organization that provides supportive care services and programs to the residents of Windsor and Essex County who are facing a life-threatening illness. Hospice supportive programs and services are available to these patients and families from the point of initial diagnosis. The Hospice Wellness Centre, the first of its kind in Canada, provides programs that include: visiting volunteer program, a multi-disciplinary clinical team that includes a palliative physician, nurses, social workers, pastoral care; educational and supportive care groups such as Wellness Drop-In, relaxation and meditation, Tai Chi, recreational art and more.
The Hospice Team will visit patients and families in their homes, community hospitals, homes for the aged and nursing homes.
There is no fee for any of Hospice services or programs.
