ENWIN, in partnership with the City of Windsor and Windsor Public Library will partner to construct a Demonstration Rain Garden at the Forest Glade Branch. The project concept was proposed by Grade 8 students on the Robotics Team at L.A. Desmarais Catholic Elementary School with support from Ward 7 Councillor Irek Kusmierczyk, and spearheaded by Windsor Public Library and ENWIN. Stay tuned for more details as the project gets underway.
Partnership Promotes Water Sustainability
DTE built the fabulous Beacon Park in downtown Detroit, ENWIN builds a small ‘Rain Garden’ at Forest Glade Library. I guess that’s a start for ENWIN. That and the fact that rain gardens need to be part of broad based applications through out Windsor and an integral component of the City Windsor’s ‘Sewer Master Plan’. The fact that Windsor is still looking at Rain Gardens as ‘Pilot Projects’ shows how far behind Windsor is compared to other more progressive Cities.
