Angus MacInnes

Angus MacInnes is a Canadian actor, best known for his roles in Star Wars and Strange Brew.

MacInnes was born on October 27th, 1947 in Windsor, Ontario.

MacInnes studied acting in Canada, but moved to the UK to study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He landed a few minor roles for television and film (including 1975’s Rollerball) before landing his most recognizable role: Gold Leader from Star Wars (1977). He reprised this role nearly 40 years later for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016). He also performed roles in Strange Brew (1983), Witness (1985), Hellboy (2004), and Captain Phillips (2013). MacInnes is a notable actor for television, having portrayed Tostig in the series Vikings, Lieutenant Commander Walter B. Shannon in Space Island One, and Sonny Munro in the BBC Scotland series, River City.

In 1985, MacInnes opened up Mamma’s Pizza in Edinburgh, Scotland. This restaurant was the first pizzeria to offer deliveries in Scotland.
