Christopher Paul Curtis To Talk at Central Library

Internationally renowned children’s author and friend of Windsor Public Library Christopher Paul Curtis will be at Central Library (850 Ouellette Avenue) on Saturday, March 24 to speak about his award-winning novels and talk about his journey from autoworker to bestselling author.  The event is suitable for both adults and children and will begin at 2 pm.

Mr. Curtis will also talk about his new book, The Journey of  Little Charlie.

Christopher Paul Curtis is best known for award winning books such as: THE MADMEN OF PINEY WOODS, ELIJAH OF BUXTON, both of which are set in Essex County; BUD, NOT BUDDY which won the prestigious Newbery Award and was recently made into a play in Chicago:; and THE WATSON’S GO TO BIRMINGHAM, which was made into a Hallmark Feature Film.

All are welcome.  Refreshments will be served and books will be available for sale, courtesy of Biblioasis Books.

    I am looking forward to attending this event to which Mr. Curtis will be speaking about his success as a award winning author.I think it is a wonderful opportunity to listen to a successful individual who has been there & done that & now is sharing his success with others who are very interested in this topic .I myself love to read & also journal every day.I love to write & have done very well in my studies when I was in school.My favorite classes were English & writing.
    I definitely will be here for this event & know I will learn from this experience.
