With the unofficial start of summer with the first long holiday weekend of the season, this week’s Throwback Thursday Pic is of an aerial photograph of a long traffic jam of cars trying to cross the Ambassador Bridge back into Canada. This image was taken sometime in the 1950s, showing a situation many Windsorites are very familiar with having to wait too pass through customs on their way home. On the right of the bridge is Assumption University (University of Windsor), and large structure across the river at the top of the image is Michigan Central Station in Detroit. Assumption Cemetery is next to the bridge in the foreground.
