Family Friendly Outdoor Movie Nights Return

With summer fast approaching, parents across Windsor will be looking for fun activities which appeal to the whole family – and if they’re free, so much the better! Windsor Public Library is here to help! Our lineup of Summer Reading programs will have something to offer children of all ages and interests.

In addition to the great programs found in the libraries, WPL is excited to provide free, family-oriented movie nights at various locations around the city – partnering with other community groups when possible.

“We’re so excited to be kicking off our series of movie nights.  They are a great way for people of all ages to enjoy an evening of entertainment and socialization at no cost!” says Acting CEO Dana Paladino.

The premiere screening will be on Friday, June 16 at Wigle Park – 397 Erie Street East.  Our first movie of the year will be Addams Family 2. The fun will get underway at 7 pm with child-friendly activities and crafts, while the movie starts at sundown (approximately 9:15 pm).  Attendees are welcome to dress as their favourite Addams Family character!

Families who are planning on attending should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets and refreshments. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted. This movie is rated PG. In case of inclement weather, the rain date will be June 30.

Plans are being firmed up to schedule more screenings in July and August.  Start time for all is 9:30 pm.
