The Windsor Regional Society of Architects (WRSA) and Windsor Public Library (WPL) are pleased to announce the winners of the “Urban Explorers and Future Architects” map contest.
The contest encouraged participants to choose a meaningful destination—such as a park, building, mural, or gathering place—and illustrate the route connecting their local Windsor library branch to that location.
The response was excellent, with submissions received from 9 different Library branches.
After careful consideration, two grand prize winners have been selected. Congratulations to Seoho Kang and Gurnam Saini. Thanks to the generous support of the Windsor Regional Society of Architects, both winners received a brand-new bicycle and helmet.
The judges also selected five participants to receive Certificates of Recognition for their outstanding submissions. Congratulations to Natalie, Carlos, Annalise, Sunpreet, and Yuna. Their certificates will be available for pickup at their local Windsor Public Library branch.
And, in appreciation of the creativity and effort shown by every participant, all participants will receive a gift card, which can be picked up at their local library branch at their convenience, after July 8.
WRSA and WPL extend their sincere thanks to all participants and their families for helping us explore Windsor through fresh eyes. Through their maps, these young creators have shown the importance of active transportation, community connections, and the places that make our city unique.
Congratulations to all of our participants and winners!
