Residents in Windsor and Essex County will be able to learn about the Green Bin Program at their local library this summer.

Libraries will feature tabletop displays, Green Bin Guide FAQ pads, and collectable bookmarks featuring the EWSWA’s six Green Superheroes: Evangeline, Eugene, Colleen, Ameen, Granny Green, and newcomer Bean.

Bookmarks will rotate weekly throughout the summer, giving visitors the opportunity to collect all six.

The initiative also features The Apple Core, a children’s book created by the Compost Council of Canada and adapted to support the EWSWA Green Bin Program, now available at all participating branches.

The initiative will run from July to August, ending just prior to the Labour Day weekend.
