FRED 2.0 is here!
Click on Services in the menu above and then look for the bookmobile photo for more information.  Or you can use the link below to access the bookmobile calendar directly.
The new bookmobile is equipped to offer the same services as a regular library branch, including book lending, digital resources, and various programs for all ages.
The Bookmobile schedule can also be found in the Events Calendar.

is open 7 days a week in 9
locations in 2026. Hours of operation are also standardized as noon to 8 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 10 am to 6 pm on all other days.

FOREST GLADE BRANCH CELEBRATES 35 YEARS

Forest Glade branch is celebrating a birthday on Monday, May 15.  For 35 years it has been providing entertainment, educational and information resources to the residents of East Windsor. An Open House is scheduled from 3 to 5 pm.  Library staff would love to have the community stop by to celebrate:  food, fun activities and giveaways are scheduled. THROWBACK THURSDAY

As we head into another travel season, this week’s Throwback Thursday Pic was taken sometime in the 1930s at Windsor International Airport. The photograph is of a Trans Canada Airlines (predecessor to Air Canada) Lockheed 10 Electra arriving at Windsor. According to Wikipedia, the Lockheed 10 Electra had a crew of 2 and a capacity of 10 passengers with a cruising speed of 185 mph and a cruising altitude of about 21,000 feet. Windsor Public Library sure doesn’t stand in the way of true love – particularly when a long road trip is involved. Who can say ‘nay’ when Archie, a beautiful and very rare Dutch Cremello, stopped by Central Branch in downtown Windsor the other day.  Archie and his family were en route from Toronto to South Carolina to hook up with his girlfriend when they needed some assistance – and of course since WPL ‘is more than books’, we were happy to help out. The first meeting of the 2023-2026 Windsor Public Library Board took place Tuesday, February 21 at John Muir Branch in West Windsor. ARCHITECTURE RESOURCES DONATED BY LOCAL GROUP

Thanks to a $700 donation by the Windsor Region Society of Architects (WRSA), Windsor Public Library has added a collection of children’s materials on the topic of architecture to the Seminole Branch collection.
