The new Bookmobile,
FRED 2.0 is here!
Click on Services in the menu above and then look for the bookmobile photo for more information.  Or you can use the link below to access the bookmobile calendar directly.
The new bookmobile is equipped to offer the same services as a regular library branch, including book lending, digital resources, and various programs for all ages.
The Bookmobile schedule can also be found in the Events Calendar.

Windsor Public Library
is open 7 days a week in 9
locations in 2026. Hours of operation are also standardized as noon to 8 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 10 am to 6 pm on all other days.

Renovated and Expanded Budimir Branch to Open

The newly renovated and expanded Budimir Branch (1310 Grand Marais Road West) will officially open Friday, February 14. The 6,000 square foot expansion includes more customer space, additional resources and materials and a technology hub. The Budimir community is invited to attend the 1 pm event, meet staff, tour the branch and enjoy refreshments and activities. Design of the $3.5 million project was finalized in May 2018 and construction began in April 2019. There was minimal downtime of library service with the only closure coming with Continue Reading...

WPL Celebrates 125 Years

To celebrate 125 years of library service to the community, WPL is featuring photographs from the local history collection and community archive. Celebrations for the opening of the Ambassador branch included live entertainment, pictured above. Do you know who these performers are? Library Participates in Christmas Card Campaign

Emily Truman (pictured) started the Holiday HappyMail campaign in November and is closing in on her goal of collecting 10,000 Christmas cards for area senior citizens. Emily distributes them to lonely seniors at area nursing homes and was at Central Library earlier this week to pick up nine boxes loaded with handmade cards. To date she has collected over 7,000 and anticipates receiving 10,000 before the holiday season is over.
