FRED 2.0 is here!
Click on Services in the menu above and then look for the bookmobile photo for more information.  Or you can use the link below to access the bookmobile calendar directly.
The new bookmobile is equipped to offer the same services as a regular library branch, including book lending, digital resources, and various programs for all ages.
The Bookmobile schedule can also be found in the Events Calendar.

is open 7 days a week in 9
locations in 2026. Hours of operation are also standardized as noon to 8 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 10 am to 6 pm on all other days.

Local History is On the Move!

On Monday September 16, 2019, Windsor Public Library’s Local History and Genealogy collections will be available at 3312 Sandwich Street, the site of the former Sandwich branch of WPL. The Archives will remain at 850 Ouellette, but all of our microfilm collections are coming to Sandwich. Windsor Symphony Orchestra and Windsor Public Library Become Friends of Music

The Windsor Symphony Orchestra (WSO) and Windsor Public Library (WPL) are joining  together to offer a series of lectures aimed at bringing together individuals interested in the arts  – particularly music.  The WSO began the Amici Musicae series in 2016 and each scheduled event incorporates an education component to provide an appreciation for music and the finer points of composition. You can now enjoy unlimited streaming of the entire series of The Great Courses through our Kanopy collection, with access to more than 70 new courses! Budimir Branch Construction Update

There will be reductions in public space at the north end of  BUDIMIR BRANCH starting Tuesday July 9. In order to ensure public safety during the next phase of construction, the children’s, teen and window seating area will be inaccessible until the project is complete. cloudLink is now active!

It has now been about a month since we moved our digital collections over from Overdrive/Libby and Axis 360 into cloudLibrary, and we are happy to report that eBooks & eAudiobook checkouts are at an all time high. We thank you all for your patience through this transition. One of the factors in our decision to move to cloudLibrary was to have access to cloudLink, which allows us to share eBooks and eAudiobooks with other participating libraries in Ontario – ultimately increasing the number of books Continue Reading...

Looking for eBooks & eAudiobooks? You can now find them in the cloudLibrary App! As we announced a little while back, we have begun a partnership with cloudLibrary as our content provider for both eBooks and eAudiobooks. While we were transferring titles from Overdrive/Libby and Axis 360 to cloudLibrary we offered limited access to those two Apps; now that the content has migrated, we have ended access to those two platforms.
